Future embarrassing moment!!

This was just one of those things I had to get pictures of. Although it's really cute to me now that Lexi just had to wear those warm fuzzy brown boots with nothing but a leotard, I know this will be an embarrassing moment for her in the future. Just remember Lex, this was YOUR idea!!! At this point in time, she would wear these boots with anything and everything. They are her favorite shoe for now, courtesy of our little friend Alleigh (thank you Lindsey).

Pumpkin Patch

Lexi was really excited about getting to pick her own pumpkin. We had seen pumpkins at the store and I had explained to her she was going to go to the pumpkin patch, ride in a wagon, and get to pick her very own pumpkin. I wasn't quite sure she understood but I realized differently when it was time to actually do it. She was so proud of herself. She walked all around the field scoping out the right pumpkin. She tested out a few until she found just the right one. I think she ended up with the one in the third picture that was "just her size". Too fun!!!

Here are Lexi and NaNa at the petting zoo petting the horses. We had also talked about riding on a pony. I knew she would like to look at and pet the horses but I wasn't sure if she would follow through and actually ride one.

Well guess who was fooled!! This was her favorite part of the day. As soon as the ride was over she wanted to immediately ride again. She LOVED it and did not hesitate one moment to get on the pony. I was VERY surprised.

These are just a few shots I took before we were ready to go. We had to get pictures by the big wagon. They have it decorated so pretty & I thought it would make pretty fall pics!! This was Lexi's class field trip to the pumpkin patch and the first time she had been. I had not been in a while myself and forgot how much fun it was. It was VERY COLD but we managed to still have a GREAT time, thanks to NaNa's help!!

Happy Halloween!!!

Kaity - the Lady Bug -&- Kayla - the Disco Diva

Here are some shots of the whole gang!!

-----------OUR TWO LITTLE BUGS-------------
------This one is my absolute FAVORITE!!!-------

We went to "trunk or treat" at church on Halloween. It was a ton of fun - lots of games to play and even more candy!! I didn't get any good pictures from that because it was outside and it was just too dark. The pics above are before we headed out , while it was still daylight. I was just glad Lexi actually got to enjoy Halloween this year - last year this time she was running a fever and we ended up having to stay at home on Halloween night.

Lexi's Halloween Party at School

Lexi enjoying her party treats!!

These are a few shots with Lexi and her friends: Reese as Minnie Mouse & Anna Marie the clown. There is also a picture with her and her teacher Mrs Tiff & some of the other gang getting ready to trick or treat. Something they did that I thought was really neat was after the kids had their party snacks, they got to go around and "trick or treat" the other classrooms as well as a couple of other businesses nearby within walking distance. This kind of gave Lexi a heads up of what to expect that evening while trick or treating and it was a lot of fun for all the kids.

Sometimes we just cant let go!!

I guess Lexi likes her thumb so much that sometimes she cant even let go of it long enough to play. I thought it was too sweet that she was sucking her thumb while coloring and building blocks. Hey - at least I know she can multi-task!!

Coloring with Daddy

Fun times with Daddy!! Lexi absolutely LOVES to color and will recruit anyone to color along with her. I just thought these were a few cute shots of her coloring with her Daddy on a Saturday morning. Sweet as it gets!!

Reading Fun

I think its safe to say that Lexi enjoys being read to, as well as reading herself. I know most, if not all kids, like to be read to but I just thought these were a few cute moments to share.

Headband Hassle

Ok - I just HAD to post these pictures for all you out there ( mainly my Dad & brother - oh and lets not forget COMPLETE STRANGERS!!) who are constantly complaining about me putting these headbands with bows on Lexi. I get comments ALL the time like: "dont you think those things are too tight" or "I bet if it was up to her she wouldn't wear those" or "arent you afraid that cuts off her circulation" - just to name a few. So to all of you non-believers, these are just a few pics on three different occasions (notice the different attire) where Lexi herself FILLED her head with these bands. I can count at least FIFTEEN on her head in the last two pics. So - I think its safe to say if she loads her own head up with as many as fifteen bands - and yes she did this all on her own - I dont think one band with a bow bothers her a bit!!

Grandparents Day

I took the girls to have their picture made for my mom & dad for Grandparents Day and, while from the big smile on Lexi's face, you would think she was totally cooperative: DONT BE FOOLED!! She was like a crazy little monkey. She would not sit still - just wanted to play with all the props and run around!! So - while I thought it would be difficult to narrow the pictures down, in reality we were LUCKY to get this ONE SHOT. Literally, this is the only shot of forty or more they took where she was looking at the camera and smiling at the same time!!

Lexi goes to Preshool

I decided to send Lexi to a little prescool a few miles from our house. I know she is young but I just felt like she needed the social interaction with other kids her age. It was hard convincing her daddy, seeing as I am not working. And even I myself kept weighing the pros and cons. However, we had a little extra push to help us make our decision when we found out we were expecting again. I decided that when the baby came, it would at least give me some one on one time with him while Lexi is at school. Also, I think it will be good for Lexi to be away from the baby doing her own thing for a few hours everyday, considering it is going to be such a big adjustment for her anyhow. Maybe this way she will not feel as shunned by mommy tending to the new addition, as we all know how much attention newborns require in the beginning. (HOPEFULLY!!) Anyway - she was actually very excited and was such a big girl. She was especially excited about her "big girl backpack". I was afraid we might have problems with her staying when we arrived but she just got right on out of the car like a champ. I think it was harder for me to be separated from Her ]: I guess I should be glad she was such a big girl but frankly it was a little hard to swallow!! Hopefully she will continue to enjoy it.

Lexi's first beach trip!!!

Lexi coming down the boardwalk for the first time. She looks so grown, as if she knows just what she is doing with her little sand buckets in toe. So Sweet!!!

When she finally made touchdown, she wasn't so sure about the sand, especially the really dry stuff. She preferred the wet, packed down sand. I think it made her feel more like she was on stable ground. She seemed to like the ocean itself pretty good. She even rode a few small waves!!

Now its time to PLAY in the sand!! Still not sure of the dry sand we had to trick her by putting her on a towel. She absolutely REFUSED to sit on the sand directly. However, as long as she was on the towel, she LOVED playing in the sand. She especially liked watching the seagulls as they would fly down and walk near her. That is what she is pointing to in the last two photos here.

These are just a few shots of Lexi and her NaNA by the water that I thought were sweet. You can see in her face this is towards the end of the day. She looks so tired and drained form being in the HOT SUN, but still having a good time!!!!

Same beach trip

These are just a few fun shots out on the balcony from our beach trip I decided to add. I just thought they were cute and showcased Ms Lexi's fun personality!!Posted by Picasa
